Facilities Set Up & Tear Down
The Facilities Team helps Compassion events staff keep track of equipment and supplies form the time it leaves our office to when it comes back, ensuring its organization and safety. For team members that want to be there for the day of the healthcare event, helping keep order in inventory, make any small adjustments, repairs, or replacements, as well as aiding in unforeseen issues like electrical cords, lighting, and necessary placement of equipment and furniture. Moving equipment and supplies to/from our clinics trailer requires lifitng, but that is why the more the merrier! While is sounds like work, we are known to get some of the best treats and play music the entire time…it is often more fun that anything!
Dental Set Up & Tear Down
This team is integral to the success fot the event! On the afternoon prior to the event (usually Friday 3pm), the team arrives to assist the Dental Operations Manager unload and set up the dental and medical rooms. They also help setup the venue facility with tables, chairs, signs, etc. On the actual day of the event, the same team returns in the afternoon (usually Saturday 3pm) to begin taking down and storing all of the equipment and restoring the facility. Moving equipment and supplies to/from the trailer requires lifitng, but that is why the more the merrier! While it sounds liek work, it’s fun to be a part of transforming a facility into a professional healthcare venue in just a few hours. Then the next day, take it down and button it up for the next chance to serve the community with the hands and love of Christ.
